Felt the noise from the pub during the evening hours.

The location was particularly good and fantastic very close to town centre & local attractions, better than we ever had before. And it was also close enough to restaurants, a traditional pub where the landlord and customers were really friendly, and bars.

Had the misfortune of getting a room with no space to hang clothes or place a bedside table, ridiculous! No breakfast served and the bathroom was like a shoebox. I was hoping for an upgrade or at least a complimentary gesture, but of course that was too much to ask.

Breakfast was good
The small rooms, poor shower. Cracked sink. Hot tap not working for sink. The layout of the room and how cramped it was in the toilet.

The decor of the inn is charming, adding to the overall
Atmosphere of comfort and warmth. Richard, the landlord, provides personalized service that makes you feel special. Breakfast choices were ample and well-prepared. The steps leading to the beer garden could use a safety rail for ease of access.

The dog inn was super dog friendly, had a great vibe and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was amazin with lots of tasty options and the staff was really chill and cute. Loved the garden where my pup could run around, and the location was perfect for strolls into town. The room was spacious and had all the necessities like tea, coffee and clean towels. Richard, the owner, is just a legend and recommended some fab places to eat.
only a bit noisy at night because of other guests, and it would've been nice if there were evening meals offered.

Staff very friendly and made to feel welcome
The room was very poor and was very expensive for the facilities offered.Used to stay here years ago and thought the standards would have remained high especially because of the price.

Dog-friendly policies, vintage pub character, proximity to Halstead town center
The cleanliness levels left much to be desired!!! The outdated room decor and the poor condition of bathroom facilities really need attention!!! The lack of evening meals was disappointing!!!
